As I write this essay soon-to-be former President Trump is taking off on Air Force One for the final time as the President of the United States. In a few hours President Elect Joe Biden will be taking over. What does that mean for the country?
While a President Biden is calling for a more unified country his followers are certainly not supporting that stand. A popular sentiment among his supporters is that the millions of Trump supporters are all white, almost all Republican, and all need to be somehow “reprogrammed”. How will that be accomplished? Will they be using techniques employed by the old Soviet Union? Perhaps Communist China? or maybe North Korea?
CNN’s Don Lemon equates Trump supporters with the Ku Klux Klan and the Nazi Party.
The Lincoln Project wants to destroy the reputations of former Trump officials. The irony is that Lincoln himself said “with malice toward none, with charity for all.”
Nancy Pelosi and company wants to constitutionally questionable and unnecessarily impeach Trump as a private citizen with unproven claims that he revved up followers to attack the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. Of course, let’s not remember what Antifa and BLM rioters did in several American cities this past summer. What roles did Democratic leaders like Chuck Schumer and Maxine Waters play in that? Not to mention supportive Democratic mayors and governors.
Unlike Iran’s strongman Ayatollah Khamenei, and the coordination of violent protests, looting, and arson by Antifa and BLM, President Trump was banned from social media by a Silicon Valley cartel. And let’s not mention how Parler was crushed in one fell swoop for daring to feature a conservative point-of-view.
Is this how Joe Biden is going to unify the country? Or is it going to be an invitation to illegal immigrants to come crashing through our borders without background checks in the middle of a spiking COVID-19 pandemic while American citizens are wondering when or if they will be able to get the vaccinations?
Biden will make America stronger by quickly destroying America’s ability to be energy independent with the cancelling of pipelines and fossil fuel production. We will once again have to depend on tyrant regimes to meet our energy needs while destroying economic boons in Texas, North Dakota, and West Virginia.
Anyone who has read Homer’s “Illiad” knows that the only thing worse than a sore loser is an arrogant, vindictive, and bullying winner. If Democrats continue on the same path to be petty, loud, and vengeful the public will start to look more favorably on the Trump legacy.

Thank you Charles, this is a wonderful essay.
You hit the nail on the head as to what our future looks like.
Bravo! Right on point!
The stage is set . He has auditioned his characters and given them their scripts. From what I saw of the inauguration I know the ending – I’ll put this down as a possible Shakespearian tragedy. Land of the free – I think not .
